INTRODUCTION
Waste management represents one of the most significant challenges for environmental protection and sustainability of production activities. Understanding regulations, classifications and procedures related to waste is essential to ensure proper administration of waste materials, minimizing ecological impact and promoting recovery. This course offers a comprehensive course on the main regulatory and operational concepts for those who work in the sector or wish to deepen their knowledge on the subject.
OBJECTIVES
Provide in-depth knowledge on the definition and classification of waste, distinguishing between municipal, special, hazardous and non-hazardous waste, according to current regulations.
Examine the concept of by-product and the termination of waste status (End of Waste), analyzing the legislative provisions governing the recovery and utilization of materials.
Deepen the temporary storage of waste, clarifying the differences from waste management and the conditions for proper storage.
To study the operation of collection centers for municipal waste, with special attention to the types of materials that can be delivered and the possibilities for recovery.
Analyze the legal framework on environmental offenses and their penalties, to understand the responsibilities and measures applicable in case of violations.
Explore the RENTRI waste traceability system, explaining digitized procedures and registration requirements.
Examine the role of environmental supervision, evaluating the functions of control and investigation, as well as the possibilities of repentance for wrongdoers.
By the end of the course, participants will have a comprehensive understanding of the basic regulations and procedures for operating in compliance with environmental laws, contributing to more efficient and responsible waste management.
